Verifying your account

XGo's all about making things simple, and verifying your account is no exception.

This guide will be easy to follow, just the essential info. So, let's dive into verification and make your XGo journey even better.

Step 1: Select Your Verification Level & Getting your documents ready

Selecting Your Verification Level

When you begin, you'll be prompted to choose your preferred verification level. If you are not sure what level you should choose, click here for help with that.

For most people standard verification will be the appropriate level, therefore we're going to walk you through the standard verification procedure in this article.

Standard Verification

Once you've made your choice between standard and premium, it's time to get down to business – verifying your identity. In the XGo app, you will be briefed on the next steps:

  • Proof of ID
  • Taking a selfie
  • Proof of Address

Selecting a Form of ID

You'll be asked to select the "Country of issue" for your ID. For example, if your ID is issued by the Lithuanian government, you will pick "Lithuania" as the country of issue. Once that's confirmed, you'll need to choose the type of ID you have. Here are the accepted forms:

  • ID Card
  • Passport
  • Residence permit
  • Driver's license

It's worth noting that your ID must not be due to expire within the next 6 months.

If, by chance, you can't find your specific document type or "Country of issue," please don't worry. Just reach out to our support team, and they will be able to assist.

Selecting your Proof of Address

We will need you to upload a document that shows you live at your address. It will need to be a separate document to your ID and will need to show your full name and address.

Documents like utility bills, bank or credit card statements, tax documents and official government documents are what we are looking for here. It will need to either be a downloaded document or a photo of a document that you have received through the post. It will need to be no older than 6 months.

Now, let's dive into the next steps to get you verified and ready for action:

Step 2: Uploading the documents

Now, let's roll up our sleeves and get to the exciting part: uploading your documents. It's super simple; here's what you need to do:

  1. A Picture of Your ID - Instead of uploading an image, you're going to take a live photo of your ID right there and then. The key here is clarity. Ensure you're in a well-lit area, and your ID is completely visible without any hidden parts. It should fit the frame perfectly, be easy to read, and crystal clear.
  2. A Selfie - Just like your ID, your selfie should be a breeze. Fit your face perfectly within the frame, make sure it's clear, unmistakably you, super easy to spot and above all, respectful. No R-rated surprises, remember, there are real humans on the other side of these screens reviewing these images.
  3. Proof of Address - Last but not least, we need to see some proof of your address. Think tax bills, mortgage statements, bank statements, credit card statements, or any official letter from a recognized public authority. Oh, and remember, these documents should be fresh - no older than six months.

We can't accept screenshots for the ID or the Proof of Address, so please avoid those as our system will reject these.
